I spent the final year of my degree at the University of York (UK), as part
of the European Exchange program (Erasmus).
3rd Year Project: The project
involved the study of a GMR-structure placed under microwave radiation as a
function of an applied magnetic field. A granular ferromagnetic thin film
structure was investigated to test the feasibility of measuring Giant magneto-Impedance. A significant
amount of time was spent on eliminating stray field earthing effects.
